10.3In Panther, dscl was introduced as the Command Line tool to access Directory Services information. The information can be the local NetInfo directory, or any other directory to which your machine is bound.

Clear Directory Services Cache E-mail

Sometimes it's helpful to clear the lookupd cache, especially if you've made changes to a directory server and the client is using a cached copy of old information.

To do this, simply type:

lookupd -flushcache
