About
The Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) client ships with many releases of Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server, but is not usually enabled by default. A component of the ARD client is the "kickstart" tool, which can be used to configure and activate the ARD client. If remote login (SSH) is enabled on a remote Mac OS X system, the ARD Activator application can use SSH and kickstart to enable the ARD client remotely.
Please Note: remote login (SSH) is disabled by default on Mac OS X, but enabled by default on Mac OS X Server.
