Have a need to clone a machine quickly? What about 200? There is a great utility called Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC). Anyone who's anyone will have heard of this program. Using CCC in conjunction with Apples Disk Utility can save loads of loading time.

Start your own OS database by installing a generic system onto an old Mac. Once you have set up every cmputer wide setting, your ready to clone. Clone using CCC, but be sure to check the "Create Disk Image on Target" and the "Prepare for Apple Software Restore". After you have all the images saved as images, use a external HD with a base OS installed to boot the target computer up. Open your disk Utility and choose your images to restore to the computer. Creating images can take up to 4 hours on slow machines, but only take 30 minutes to restore a machine. For even easier updating to images, leave on installed on a machine that is not used. Let the updates run and you'll be ready with a fully updated images the next time you need one!
