Command line access for Apple Remote Desktop E-mail
Written by Lance Ogletree

Apple Remote Desktop has a command line tool that can be used to remotely configure ARD. The command line tool is called kickstart and it can be found in:

/System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources

Kickstart has some very good usage documentation. Run ./kickstart --help from within the Resources directory of the ARDAgent.app to see the various options associated with it.

cd /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources
./kickstart
